One model, several ways to measure it.
Mash Quantifier separates the source of each quantity from the commercial rules applied to it. That lets a material represent surface or volume, a component represent a piece or linear measurement, and a tag represent the contents assigned to it.
Materials
Measure configured SketchUp materials by square or cubic units for finishes and solid materials.
Components and groups
Count repeatable objects by piece or measure them by length for linear items.
Tags
Measure tagged contents by volume, area or edge length depending on the item being estimated.
Separate price rules
Keep material price and labor price independent on each row of the estimate.
Waste and taxes
Apply a material waste percentage and separate tax rates for material and labor.
Price catalogs and CSV
Load a CSV price catalog, search it by common fields and export the complete estimate for spreadsheets.

The plugin uses a configurable name prefix to identify which model resources belong in the estimate, while the pricing table lets you decide how each detected item should be measured and priced.

Can SketchUp calculate material quantities and project costs?
Mash Quantifier reads configured SketchUp materials, components, groups and tags to calculate quantities. You can then add separate material and labor prices, waste and taxes to build an editable estimate.
What can Mash Quantifier measure?
Materials can be measured by area or volume, components and groups by piece or length, and tags by volume, area or edge length. This lets the same report cover finishes, solid materials, repeated objects and linear items.
How does Quantifier know which model items to include?
Quantifier detects resources whose names begin with the prefix configured in the plugin. This keeps unrelated model content out of the estimate and makes the takeoff repeatable after changes.
Can I import a price catalog?
Yes. Mash Quantifier can load a CSV price catalog and filter entries by common fields such as code, category, supplier, unit and material before applying them to estimate rows.
Can the estimate be exported to Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. The plugin exports a UTF-8 CSV containing the estimate rows, quantities, prices, taxes and totals. The file can be opened in Excel or Google Sheets.
Will my pricing data remain with the SketchUp project?
Project pricing and options are stored inside the SketchUp file, so reopening the model restores the associated estimate data.
What about very heavy SketchUp models?
Performance depends on model complexity and the computer running SketchUp. Dense imported assets and high-polygon furniture may take longer, so test a representative project before adopting the workflow for very large models.
